Born and raised in the suburb of Wentworth , Durban , Kwazulu -Natal ,having been away From the Lord for the first 20 Years of his life encountered The Lord Jesus through an invitation from his then girlfriend Sandi , who invited him to a church meeting at the Durban Christian Centre back in 1997.

 

Marlon went on to give His heart to the Lord at DCC and after being encouraged to attend Bible College by the DCC leadership, began growing in leaps and bounds and the plan and call of God became very evident, very early.

 

 

Marlon volunteered in the Choir from 1997 and began as a Worship Leader at the DCC later that year under the guidance of Snr Pastors Fred and Nel Roberts and the then Dean of the Bible College and Worship Pastor,Ps John Torrens.The strong Pastoral Call of God was very evident upon his life and Marlon responded to the Call to full time ministry in May 2005 as a district pastor at DCC resigning from his growing career in Logistics and International Trade

 

 

The Pastoral and the Music Calling soon collided as Marlon was appointed as the Worship Director/Pastor for the Church in 2009 while still fulfilling his pastoral role and duties as a district Pastor and Marriage officer.

 

In November 2009 , Marlon Released his Debut CD “Walk By Faith “ and recorded the live DVD of the same title at DCC .A year later , DCC Worship team released their Debut Album, “Glory all around “ where Marlon  featured quite extensively leading the DCC choir .

 

2013 sees the release of Marlon’s Second offering Called “Dialogue” This released highlights that God is significantly using this young Worship leader to lead God’s precious people into the very throne room of God with Word -based understanding of Contemporary worship.

 

His 16 year Worship Leader experience under strong Apostolic leadership serves as a powerful grounding for this young minstrel and minister of God’s Word as he travels engaging in seminars and Worship Events country-wide as an itinerant Music Minister, Psalmist, songwriter and preacher of the Gospel having been released with the blessing of His local Church,DCC, to be a blessing to the Body of Christ at large ……
